It is always possible to lose weight and tone muscles it gets harder as one age. People who are exercise intensive in post college years are more likely to be thin as they age.

Small amount of weekly exercise will decrease the likelihood of weight gain as one’s age increases. In order for this to be effective the exercise should last more than 2 hours a week and should be considered vigorous.

Common exercises include running, power walking, an intense game of basketball, or even a dance or aerobics class.

Participants who exercised saw a generally smaller waistline than those who did not exercise. While only exercising may not keep the weight off, when paired with a healthy diet it will be very effective.
